Want to join our London meet up group?
If you’re aged 16-30 and you have bereaved at any stage of life, we would love you to join us at our one-of-a-kind meet up groups in London.
We kicked things off with a big event on Tuesday 13th November 2018 at Havas Kings Cross (photos and recordings coming soon!)
Our upcoming dates for North and South London are listed below. Wherever you’re based, you are welcome to go along to either (or both!) groups. If you have any questions before the meet up, do email the hosts using email@example.com.
North London meet up group
Living or working in North London? We would love to see you at one of our monthly meet ups in North London. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
L-R: Caterina (photo credit: Saima Ahmed), Jo, Rich
Caterina is a 27 year old playwright and English tutor. She enjoys cycling, going to the theatre and trashy TV. She is really looking forward to hosting some meet ups!
Jo is originally from Somerset and an all round general creative human. When she’s not working as a theatre designer she can be found baking cakes, taking photos of fun architecture or knitting some socks! She can’t wait to meet all you North Londoners at the meet ups.
Rich is a 26-year-old freelance journalist and media consultant who is desperately sad that the worlds of Jurassic Park and Star Wars aren’t real. When he isn’t playing video games, reading or writing poetry, Rich takes part in mental health advocacy work and campaigns nationally for the better treatment and care of people who live with mental illness. He is excited about being a host and is happy to have a cuppa and a chat before any meet-ups!
North London – 24th March @ Victoria Park
Our hosts will be waiting from 2:45 – 3pm at the Pavillion Cafe entrance to Victoria Park (next to the roundabout on Old Ford Road). At 3pm we’ll go for a walk round the park and then head somewhere for a drink and time to catch up. If it’s raining we’ll be waiting inside the Pavillion Cafe instead. We’d love to see you there!
Victoria Park is accessible and further details on accessibility and services are available here: https://www.accessable.co.uk/venues/victoria-park-london
If you have any questions at accessibility or otherwise all please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email: email@example.com
South London meet up group
If you’re based South of the river, Amy and Chloe are your hosts and would love to get to know you at the monthly meet ups. You can ask any questions or check dates by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
L-R: Amy, Chloe
Amy is a 28 year old project manager for a substance misuse charity, supporting individuals experiencing addiction. She recently completed an MSC in Occupational Psychology and is looking to advise organisations on how to support staff to be happier at work. Amy loves nothing more than travelling, enjoying the sun and a good book! She’s happy to meet up for a coffee, chat and a good laugh before any group.
Chloe is a 27 year old content manager, helping schools to better connect with their community. She lives in Brixton and is a total bookworm and loves going to the world class art galleries and museums that London has to offer! She is obsessed with RuPaul’s Drag Race and will always rewatches episodes to make her feel better. Chloe is always up for meeting for a quick coffee before a group to keep your mind at ease.
South London – 8th March @ Hawker House
