Her dad Paul passed away in 2017 from a rare neurological condition called MSA. After watching the BBC 3 documentary ‘Learning to Grieve’, Jess messaged Let’s Talk About Loss and has been attending the Manchester virtual meet ups during lockdown. She finds talking to people who have similar stories really helpful and always comes away from the meet ups feeling so much better.
After discovering Lets Talk About Loss after her mum passed away in 2019, she is keen to ensure that all young people are provided with help and support after a loss. When she is not studying, Hannah enjoys reading, yoga and has a greyhound called Comet!
How will I know where you are?
Our meet up Hosts will be wearing white t-shirts with Let’s Talk About Loss written on them, so you can spot us in a crowd!
Will everyone be sad?
Definitely not. Although we’ve all been bereaved, we aim to have lots of fun at meet ups and chat about lots of things, not just grief. You won’t be asked or expected to share your grief story unless you want to.
What will we do?
Most of our meet ups are activity based, so we are doing something and not just sitting around chatting. We hope you’ll have lots of fun!
How do I sign up?
You don’t need to tell us you’re coming along – feel free to just turn up! If you want to chat to someone before coming along, email us using the form on this page, and we can always meet you beforehand.
We’re raising funds to keep offering our services in 2022. If you could spare a few pounds, every donation will be doubled by the National Emergencies Trust, so please do donate if you can!
