She works as a civil servant and is Ally Lead for her work’s LGBT+ network. El enjoys all seasons sea swimming (without a wetsuit!), exploring nature, travelling to new places, trying all foods imaginable, is a keen plant keeper and dog-mum to Honey the red cockapoo. During the Covid-19 pandemic she lost her step-dad and her grandmother 3 months apart and both sets of grandparents and a cousin prior to this. She is passionate about social equality and discussing complex, delayed and anticipatory grief, creating safe and inclusive spaces where people can share and feel a part of. Now stronger in managing her own grief she hopes to help create the group she needed during a very isolating time, harnessing the power of local community in this beautiful corner of the world.
